After watching over my grandpa for a few weeks because my grandma broke her hip, I became pretty sick. After I got better, I went for a few interviews. I finally got a job (hopefully a career) working for an environmental consulting company. Since then, I've been crazy busy.

Luckly, I didn't interview for this job, or I probably wouldn't have gotten it. I started as a temp with a 6 month contract. After 2 months, the liked me enough to buy my contract. So, here I am, at ARCADIS. I dig it.

I'm really amazed how busy I've become. This field is so amazing. I'm amazed how little I was ready for this job, and how much I still need to learn after spending 6 years in college (granted, 4 of those years were community college where I was trying to find myself). It's like I've been thrown in the deep end of the pool. Some days are long 12 hour days. Today, I got in at 630 and I'm not done yet at 1830 (630 P.M.). Other days I'm just too tired to do anything when I get in. But it's great.

I do miss doing stuff on the net. But the typing and using the mouse really starts to hurt my hand if I do it all day at work when I'm in the office and then try to do it when I get home. I need to invest in a rollerball mouse for home.

My home computer crapped out at me. Luckly, deviantart isn't blocked at my work anymore for some reason. I have no idea how many times I will be able to come on here though when I'm at work.
